Hotel Las Islas - Barú

The accommodations were amazing! We really enjoyed having bikes to ride around the resort as well as being able to call for a golf cart. We also really enjoyed the private beaches and excursions (snorkeling) that were offered. The spa massage was also amazing! We gave the resort 4 stars because the food was good but nothing wow-ed us. Overall, we had a fantastic get away here and would definitely recommend the resort!

Este lugar es precioso, diría que un paraíso en la tierra, pase días increibles e inolvidables, ver el amanecer en esa isla es algo que no se puede explicar, pase mis vacaciones con mi familia y la verdad que pienso volver. Las habitaciones son acogedoras, la atención es excelente y la comida espectacular. Tiene una excelente ubicación, perfecto para disfrutar la vidaLa verdad les recomiendo el lugar, una ves lo conozcan querrán volver Quedé maravillada.

Es un lugar increíble, con gente maravillosa, atenta y cordial Uno de los mejores sitios donde hemos estado con mi familia !! La experiencia es inolvidable, las instalaciones impecables, siempre pensando en conservar el ecosistema. La comida 5 estrellas, los paisajes y el atardecer es increíble todo muy lindo.

Remote, beautiful resort for a quiet getaway. The bungalows are private and lovely whether in the trees or on the water. Recommend 3 days or so here to experience the resort and local offerings. Staff are very attentive and responsive but not overly so. Food is very good with a wide variety of choices for all meals unlike some similar resorts. Great value!

Pros:Beach and facilities are great. You couldn’t ask for a better location and the size of the hotel is really big so you can spread out.Rooms had really good A/C and were fun for a few nights to be staying in the trees.The separate private island is easy to get to with not much wait time.Karen was a great employee and managed the restaurant facilities really well.Cons:Our stay was mainly let down by the terrible service. We found the reception staff really hard to communicate with and the restaurant staff.You have to get the golf carts around the area as the facility is so big. There were many times when we had to wait a significant time for transport and staff weren’t very proactive.The area is amazing for stargazing. I confirmed with reception that I wanted to use the telescope and when I went at the right time it was closed. I was very dissatisfied that there was no answer why it was closed.The diving that I did was really good. However I had booked two dives and was looking forward to them. When I arrived for the first dive I was told that ‘other people want to dive this afternoon so you can only do one’. I don’t agree with this because if I had booked in advance then I don’t see why I should have to give up my place.The food in the hotel is extremely expensive (for Colombia, and the Cartagena area). The quality of the food is awful. There are no other options for food due to being so far out, so I’d think carefully about staying here for that reason. Nothing was local, and we were really disappointed. The only exception was breakfast, which was quite nice.The main issue for our stay was that we don’t speak Spanish and most of the staff don’t speak English. The language barrier meant that a number of frustrating issues compounded to create an overall disappointing stay. If you don’t speak Spanish I would seriously think twice.

El lugar es increíble, perfecto para desconectarte de todo y sentirte parte de la naturaleza. Me encanto estar ahí. El hotel es muy grande y te transportas en bicicleta o en carritos de golf. Tiene dos playas privadas y en una de ellas hay una alberca infinita muy bonita.
