Tingua Hidden Journeys

My cousin used Tingua Hidden Journeys to help me plan an itinerary when I took a vacation to Colombia, this past summer. I had planned a week and a half of visiting family in Bogota, Ibague, and Cartagena, but being my first time in the country, needed a hand with filling in my time with activities.Atenea and her team were very helpful and responsive, communicating with me mainly through WhatsApp. They vetted and curated a comprehensive itinerary of museums, excursions, restaurants, and included a section with helpful advice for foreigners (I’m American) on topics such as etiquette, how much money to take out, safety, cellular tips, etc. They also gave me choices of hotels and Airbnb options whenever necessary, and even found me an affordable flight from Bogota to Cartagena – All I had to do was book it. You will also pay a fee to design the itinerary, which they will quote you after giving them your travel dates, but that’s really the “hardest” part.Although I wasn’t able to do *every* single activity due to circumstances beyond my control, Atenea was always available via WhatsApp for alternative suggestions and arrangements. We were still able to do roughly 80-85% of what we had planned.Moreover, when Hurricane Dorian caused my airliner to reschedule my flight by two days, I had extra time in Cartagena that I needed to plan. I contacted Atenea immediately, and she graciously took the time to research and send me additional lodging and activity options.Atenea and her team are bilingual – English and Spanish-speaking, and demonstrate pride and passion for sharing what Colombia has to offer. I recommend Tingua, especially for first-time travelers. Saved me a lot of time and energy.

We rented two specialized hybrid bikes to take part in the Sunday Ciclovia in Bogota. The bikes were great and Atenea was really helpful. She suggested a route for us and even recommended some nice places to stop for food/coffee. Would definitely recommend this company!
