Academia Santo Baile

I highly recommend Academia Santo Baile if you are in Medellin. The instructors are very kind and very informative. They do a very good job of explaining and breaking down the steps to the dances you learn with them. The director and his assistant are also are very kind and friendly people.

My friend and I are beginners, so we took a private salsa class with Sydney. It was a blast - fun, instructional, and dense with material.Make sure to arrive early and follow the instructions for the location, as it is not trivial to find.

Every lesson I've took here has been great. I've done about 12 hours and I can go to bachata socials confidently. Can't wait to come back.

I have all good things to say about Santo Baile. I went during the week of my birthday and expected to take a few dance lessons and maybe retain a portion of what I learned. With the systematic approach and friendly, supportive vibe of this dance studio I have retained more than 90% of my instruction.I took six days of lessons for 1 hour each day and although I am not an expert, I am confident enough to have used my new skills at two weddings and two holiday parties and counting!!! I am so grateful for the gift they gave me to understand how to dance more than a set of choreography. It seems funny to say but these lessons changed my life. Truly. I now have a skill that will be with me for the rest of my life.

I want to take a moment to thank Yul and his academy for motivating me to achieve things I never thought possible.I met Yul last year when he was visiting the states. I took a couple of lessons with him and I was so impressed by his extensive knowledge and his willingness to share with his students that I took a trip last week to Medellin to practice my salsa at his academy. Thank you Yul for sharing your heart with your students and patiently taking your time to help me become a better salsa dancer. Your love and enthusiasm for teaching salsa clearly makes you distinct from other instructors. Anyone looking to learn salsa will be so lucky to have you as their instructor.

I'm a whole two months late in posting a review here (sorry Yules!) but the private classes here have been awesome! Each of the instructors has a different style of teaching, which I love. I feel that I was able to vary between different salsa concepts frequently to round me out as a dancer - from body movement, to musicality, to core salsa moves and combinations. Overall I progressed so much through a month of classes here than I have in 3 months of group classes elsewhere.Special shoutout to Sydney and Darlyn! Missing y'all's lessons, looking forward to it again when I visit.

I took 8 hour classes with 2 instructors. It was the best learning salsa clases.I took 10 hours in cartagena with 2 instructors. These folks were way better than the other classes.I used whats app and it was easy communication. Easy to schedules and changes as well. Also they are super nice.The studios were very clean and very safe area to in and out even dark at night.As a beginner, this was the best place to learn as I had experiences with a different academy. There is no doubt they are the best one in medellin.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience learning Salsa dancing with our teacher Juan. I highly recommend Academia Santo Baile to anyone who is interested in Salsa dancing. They were always very professional, patient, and knowledgeable. And their approach was personalized to our skill level and personal goals.
