La Hacienda San Gil

I'm so happy I chose La Hacienda for my stay in San Gil. Jane and Felipe are the best owners, always here for you to help you organise your activities in the region. The kitchen is perfectly equiped, but they offer such good food (and many vegetarian options) that I ended up not cooking at all. The atmosphere is very familial and chill.It is quite out of town, but you can always walk down and take a bus on the way, or call a (moto)taxi.Thanks Jane and Felipe for your smiles and your good energy !

Stayed here for a few days in June and honestly one of those hostels that meet your expectations and beyond! It had such a homely feel to it and Jane and Felipe were amazing!! Such friendly people. The view from the hostel is spectacular; especially in the mornings and evenings. Would stay here if I ever went back to San Gil ☺️

We spent 2 amazing weeks with Jane and Felipe. We felt like home and we didn't want to leave! It was so nice to share all those moments together, meals, cooking, salsa lessons, game and talks...The hacienda is a peaceful and beautiful place, where we instantly felt good.Thank you for everything guys, remains the same!

La Hacienda in San Gil is a fantastic place to stay. The hostel, although located a bit outside the city, offers a comfortable and welcoming experience that feels like home. Felipe and Jane, the owners, go above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyable. To reach the hostel, it is recommended to arrange transportation through them, as not all public taxis know the way. The cost for a moto taxi or taxi varies between 10,000-25,000, depending on the time and means of transport.One of the highlights of La Hacienda is the incredible food they serve. You can choose between delicious Colombian dishes and other international cuisines like Italian or Asian. However, for those who are allergic to pets, it's worth noting that they have some furry friends on the premises.The rooms at La Hacienda are spacious and equipped with hot showers and lockers. Whether you're traveling alone or with a group, the accommodations are comfortable and convenient.Overall, my experience at La Hacienda was exceptional, and I haven't come across a more welcoming and wonderful place during my trip in Colombia. If I find myself in the San Gil area again, I would undoubtedly choose to stay at La Hacienda.

The best accommodation on our trip!After arriving at the hacienda we were warmly welcomed by Jane and Felipe.The two have fulfilled a dream with the hacienda and are passionate about what they do.The rooms are very nice and clean. The courtyard invites you to linger. And on the terrace you can end the evening nicely and enjoy the extremely delicious dinner. We also gratefully accepted the breakfast and lunch.The two hosts speak English and are happy to help with questions and organize excursions on request.The pIzza should definitely try!Thank you very much for the wonderful time in this wonderful place! We will miss the time and think back to you and your four-legged friends so much!

We loved the Hacienda! If you have more than a day in San Gil, make sure to book here!It was the perfect place to chill, in between a hike and rafting. It's a little out of town, but worth it, cause the view of the valley and sunset is amazing! Jane and Felipe are super nice and made us feel at home immediatly! They make the most delicious and enormous pizza and fresh homemade bread every morning. And there is a kitchen well equiped but they can also cook delicious meals. There is a beautiful 2 hour hike to Curiti directly from there. We extended our stay because we felt so confortable there!

Given the high ratings, I expected a nice hostel. But I found more than that - a home away from home. Jane and Felipe are the wonder couple who make you feel special and like family from the moment you arrive. I intended to stay here for a week and left after 3. Everything from cleanliness, the food pets, and music and everything else about La Hacienda is just magical. I am leaving absolutely refreshed and recharged, and still wish I didn't have to leave.
