The best way to experience Filandia-do not miss it!! Views are beautiful and you truly get an escape in nature.The host Yvette helped us navigate everything from transportation to food recommendations. The room was tidy and comfortable, the grounds are gorgeous. And there are 3 friendly+adorable dogs!!We did the journey to the river horseback ride which was also 10/10. As a first timer I was a bit nervous, but the guide was very knowledgeable and the horses have great personalities. They’re very well cared for, it was well worth the price for such happy horses, a swim in the river, and a delicious lunch!Walk into town is about 40 minutes, but very beautiful and one of my favourite parts of the stay.

El hotel no tiene tanque de reserva de agua. Llegamos al atardecer y pasamos 12 horas sin agua. Las habitaciones sucias. El lugar sin cortinas suficientes,, por lo cual una vez salió el sol no se podía dormir. Las cerraduras de las puertas muy deficientes e inseguras. Los caballos bonitos , pero la cabalgata muy aburrida todo el tiempo expuestos al sol. Una muy mala experiencia!

Se ha vuelto mi lugar favorito! Atención increíble, el lugar tiene una conexión de locos! Y el lugar tiene vistas y clima muy agradables.

I have had the opportunity to stay & work with Yvette several times! Steel Horse is a magical and peaceful place. The horses are amazing! The sunsets have the most beautiful colors! The silence and stillness of early morning and during the night are exquisite. Yvette is an amazing host who wants to make her guests feel at home. A recommended place for lovers of nature, peace, and, animals.

We had such a brilliant day riding with Steel Horse Tours. The horses were perfect, and well matched for each of our experience levels. The landscape on the full day El Rio ride is so beautiful, and we saw kingfishers, mot mots and many tanagers as we rode. The packed lunch was also so delicious and filling - 2 different kinds of meat, plantain, potatoes, rice - so much better than we were expecting. Our guide was lovely and we felt in very good hands, and all communication beforehand was quick and easy. Thanks for a wonderful day!
